Design now has a Links page. You’ll find lots of useful information for designers
and small business owners, but with some fun stuff thrown in for
good measure (all work and no play, well…) Make sure to browse
our “Green” section with tips on being a green business
and consumer. We’re always adding new links, so bookmark and
check often.
Speaking of linking… I’m an active member of IdeaXchange—a network of writers, designers and other creatives. Our group recently launched a blog to connect with other like-minded people. See what independent creatives are thinking and talking about at the IdeaXchange Blog.

time to take advantage of the warm days and long evenings
before they quickly disappear.
- July/Aug: Wednesday Night Concerts in Town Square (Northcenter): 4100 N. Damen Ave. (at Belle Plaine, across from CVS). Check out the schedule.
- Sat., Aug. 11 & Sept. 8: Southport Green Market (Lakeview): 8am-1pm, Blaine School parking lot (Grace & Southport, Chicago)
- July 17–Aug 28: Chicago Outdoor Film Festival (downtown Grant Park)
- Through Aug. 26: Chicago SummerDance (downtown Grant Park, 601 S. Michigan)
- Through Aug. 31: Free Summer Evenings at the Art Institute of Chicago (downtown): enjoy free admission and live music on Thursdays and Fridays from 5–9 pm
